Two people were shot in a meth deal gone bad this morning in Parkland, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Ed Troyer said.
Three suspects showed up around 6 a.m. to an apartment in the 100 block of 138th Street South, where they had a prearranged meeting to make a deal for methamphetamine, Troyer said.
At some point the group – two men and one woman – decided they were going to try to take the drugs instead of paying for them, Troyer said. The two men were armed with shotguns, and exchanged fire with the homeowner.
The 52-year-old male homeowner and one of the suspects, a 32-year-old male, were hit and are currently in surgery.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has the female suspect in custody, and are looking for the second male suspect.
