Two people were shot in a meth deal gone bad this morning in Parkland, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Ed Troyer said.

Three suspects showed up around 6 a.m. to an apartment in the 100 block of 138th Street South, where they had a prearranged meeting to make a deal for methamphetamine, Troyer said.

At some point the group – two men and one woman – decided they were going to try to take the drugs instead of paying for them, Troyer said. The two men were armed with shotguns, and exchanged fire with the homeowner.

The 52-year-old male homeowner and one of the suspects, a 32-year-old male, were hit and are currently in surgery.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has the female suspect in custody, and are looking for the second male suspect.

A meth lab deal gone bad? That is kind of an oxymoron to assume one might go well in any case. I hope they can save their tooth.

  2. Pecksbadboy says:

Thousands of meth deals go on everyday in Tacoma, not all go bad or there would not be a meth problem.

The idea that every meth deal goes bad IS the oxymoron.

  3. gonefishin69690 says:

They must no have had enough copper wire to pay for it.

  4. gonefishin69690 says:

    *not*

  5. My question for the police. Did they know that there was a meth operation at that address before or after the shooting?

  6. I logged onto my computer to read the TNT earlier this morning and was suprised to not see any reports of gun violence happening in Pierce County/Tacoma over the weekend.
Logged on again around 12N to see the situation had changed with this report…back to normal now!! Took until Monday morning for drugs and gunfire to make the news once again.

  7. PuppyDogsButterflies says:

Gun violence has been happening since the beginning of guns. Without guns, people would be using cannons. Imagine a drive by cannoning.

  8. whatthehell says:

well i hopep he got some free meth thatss good stuff

  9. ginahopk says:

I’m sure we the tax payers are paying for their surgery

  10. I would imagine that Pungent Sound is saying that even in a successful meth purchase, the purchase has been made and that person’s life is going down the toilet. There is no such thing as a good meth deal…….I guess unless someone discovered the cure for cancer in drugs made from cleaning supplies.

@taxedenough….”degenerate types, groups and RACES”? Just out of curiosity what race(s) are you classifying as degenerate?

As frequently as you post I would think you’d have higher standards than bigoted drivel….

  12. Sounds like a meth deal gone “good”, 3 down, 1 to catch

  13. I guess “taxedenough” only thinks that societies ills are becuase of certain “races”. So “taxedenough” what are the “certain races” that you beleive to be the “degenerate” ones?

  14. basrouge says:

I live spitting distance from the scene. Parkland is horribly crime ridden and there is almost nothing the police do, they just react and even then its way to late to help. This was a known drug drug spot in this area and It’s bad around here. Most people are oblivious but when it happens next door you might stop making jokes and start being proactive in your community.

  15. Last time I checked meth was smoked mostly by caucasian and Hispanic folk
