The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has identified the two deputies who shot and killed a man driving a stolen truck earlier this month.

Jason Bray, 34, and James Maas, 41, were put on paid administrative leave right after the June 7 shooting. Bray has been with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department since 2004; Maas since 1996. Both started as corrections deputies and then moved to patrol five years ago.

The Sheriff’s Department has reported that the deputies spotted John M. Hull, 31, driving erratically early on June 7.

The deputies tried to stop the truck. Instead, Hull continued driving and eventually rammed their patrol car two times.

The deputies got out of the patrol car and opened fire as Hull prepared to hit their car again, the Sheriff’s Department has said.

The Sheriff’s Department and Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the deadly shooting.

Oh nice. What a lovely town. I suggest others do what I have done. Take a few belongings and just get out of the county. Pierce County, the cesspool of misery. Abandon all hope ye who enter Pierce County.

“The Sheriff’s Department and Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the deadly shooting’ yea their working in shifts on this one, maybe its time for the department of justice to look into the peirce county killers, oh i mean criminal deputies. People need to quit patting these overpaid murders on the back and throw them in jail. They say you can rule by fear or respect guess wich way gets more support. p.s. we need more cops like everone needs anal warts.

  3. Hey Jamesv317 – I’m sure you would re-write the police manual for these situations to read “if a suspect fails to stop during a pursuit and begins ramming you with his vehicle, you should immediately start doing some soul searching, asking yourself what YOU have done to keep this brother down, pushing him to the point of violence.” If someone were ramming my car, which can easily become lethal, I’d shoot right through that windshield too. I presume you would do the same.

  4. Looking at just John M Hull’s criminal record, here:

This loser has been wrung up for forgery, burglary, assault, unlawful possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, and intimidating a witness. His existence on this earth has been blessed for us all. In the brilliant mind of jamesv317, the police are the bad guys!

  5. jamesv317 says:

hey norsey I never claimed to be brilliant, im just just not a criminal, And i also stated the department of justce get involved ,as you can see i respect the law, just not the people inforcing it here, and i certainly dont trust pierce county to investigae their own. Oh yea if you shoot a guy ramming your car see where you end up. probably not on paid leave, dont let the criminals police themselves.

  6. Oh good, we can start making general statements about entire groups of people based solely on knowledge we learned from a short newspaper article. My turn!

Jamesv317 must be a cracked out, thieving, home-invading, uneducated loser who uses his tax payer funded cell phone for his drug deals while running from the cops. This must be true because all cop haters are criminals who hate each individual cop based on this overall perception he has because of the notion that they are “always out to get me while I’m just doing my thing.” Next will be how Officer Joe randomly busted into his home one day while he was minding his own business and beat the crap out of him and now he has this B.S. conviction on his record that’s holding him back from being successful.

Oh wait James, we shouldn’t judge everyone based on things we acutally don’t know much about?
