Tacoma firefighters doused a fire in a North End home this morning.

Crews were called to the home in the 4500 block of North Ferdinand Street about 6:45 a.m., Tacoma fire spokesman Joe Meinecke said.

Firefighters spotted smoke and fire coming from the home’s basement when they arrived. They put out the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators were looking into what sparked the fire.
