Lakewood police are searching for a man charged with stabbing another man earlier this month at an apartment complex.

Miguel Valdivia-Cabrera, 19, has been charged with first-degree assault. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police and prosecutors allege Valdivia-Cabrera assaulted a 25-year-old man early on June 1 inside an apartment in the 8800 block of John Dower Road Southwest.

The victim had been stabbed several times. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim later told detectives Valdivia-Cabrera was a roommate and was on some type of drug, police reported. The victim didn’t know why he was stabbed.

Anyone with information about Valdivia-Cabrera’s whereabouts is asked to call Lakewood police tipline at 253-830-5064 or Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959.
