A fund has been started for the family of Hector Hernandez-Valdez, a 15-year-old Tacoma boy who was fatally stabbed last week.

Donations can be made to the “Memorial Fund: Hector Hernandez-Valdez” at any Bank of America branch.

Hector was killed Friday afternoon at a home in the 800 block of East 52nd Street.

Brothers Luis Alberto Arroyo, 16, and Cristobal Ivan Arroyo, 14, have been charged with first-degree murder. Pierce County prosecutors have also charged the elder Arroyo with one count of first-degree robbery.

How about a fund for my children, thank god they are still alive, but they are not selling pot to hoodlums.

  2. Regfool2 says:

AntiMisRE – sure. Start a fund for your kids and publicise it. No one HAS to donate, just as you don’t HAVE to donate to this one. It’s optional. No need to get angry.

  3. Regfool2 says:

AntiMisRE – oh – we only have the word of the murderers that the young man went there “to sell pot” as you put it. At this point, I tend to think the Arroyos guys less than credible about much of anything.

  4. mcgintey says:

Poor choice to photograph the “tagged” garage. This is not acceptable behavior. We are not South LA gangland and these wannabe’s need to change their directions. The murder was horrific, but the teenager slain was selling drugs – illegal behavior. Don’t glorify it.

  5. BeckaKing says:

@mcgintey – Well Murdering a boy is not acceptable behavior, I knew Hector Hernandez Personally. He was my friend and came to my home several times. Those “Wannabe’s” were his friends and Family…Hector was a good kid, he may have made mistakes but he never Deserved to die in such a way. No one is glorying is actions we are mourning his death.

@AntiMisRE – You wouldn’t being saying those thing if you visited his family. I went and saw his mother and I couldn’t stop crying. Hector was a 15 year old boy with his whole life ahead of him…
