Travis Reed, 31, son of longtime Buckley City Councilman Randy Reed, is due to be arraigned on witness bribery charge today in Pierce County Superior Court.

The younger Reed is alleged to have offered a woman’s daughter $200 a month until she reached age 18 if her mother dropped child rape and molestation charges against his father.

The councilman is charged with molesting and raping her 7-year-old daughter. The woman and her daughter were living with Travis Reed at the time of the alleged sexual assaults.

The arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. in Courtroom 270 of the County-City Building in Tacoma. Randy Reed’s trial is set for July 10.
