Tacoma police are searching for a man who robbed a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint late Sunday.

The robbery occurred just after midnight in the 4400 block of North 27th Street, police said.

The driver was delivering a pizza in the area when he was approached by a man.

The suspect wore a black ski mask and wielded a gun. He got an undisclosed amount of cash and the driver’s jacket, then fled.

The suspect was described as a white man, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. In addition to the ski mask, he wore a khaki jacket and black pants, police reported.

Officers searched the area but didn’t find the suspect.

The investigation was continuing.

Ever notice that most all employees have to cede their 2nd Amendments to keep their job? That just isn’t right.

This is about 6 blocks from the Proctor Metropolitan Market, the Blue Mouse Theatre, and the Proctor Starbucks. If this can happen here, it can happen anywhere. Be aware. Keep vigilant.
