No child should be subjected to anything other than love and kindness. Real Parents love their children unconditionally and would protect them from anything. I pray that the boy makes a full recovery to live a long and happy life away from abuse and neglect.

Abuse of any kind is not acceptable to a child or an adult. Emotional, verbal, or physical! Abusers come in all shapes and can hide very well in our society. Heck, my ex-fiance was a special ed teacher in the area and abused my son emotionally and verbally. They are not going to be drug addicts most of the time either. People with disorders have learned how to fit into society and do their damage behind closed doors. Manipulation and control is their goal and they will twist the facts, blame and play the victim to get out of the consequences. Luckily this guy wasn’t that smart in hiding his evil and was caught. Guarantee that this was not the first time he did this to them. Now that the girlfriend, the one who most likely chose to live in denial or bought into the fact the kids deserved it, was not in the equation anymore. Thank God the kids were taken away!

I am so sick amd tired of people who abuse children. You really can’t trust anyone watching your kids and if you do make sure it is a good person and put up cameras for extra safety. My daughter was assaulted by her father while I was at work and she was 4 months old and we still haven’t went to trial and it’s been two years,while he sits in jail. I would of never thought something like this would of happened to my child and reminded everyday. There is no excuse for abuse!! I pray for those kids and especially the 18 month old with the brain injury because my daughter as a result of being assaulted by her father has severe brain damage and unable to have a normal life. Any person that could hurt a child doesn’t deserve life or any sympathy. People are quick to blame these mothers but take a good look at the sick men that made the choice to harm a child and let them be accountable for their actions. Their are a lot of sick mothers too so I am not excusing them. We are supposed to love,protect and take care our children. My heart goes out to the kids and I hope the mother gets the help she needs.

@delsol: I gotta agree with your last sentence. I think there’s more to this whole situation that has yet to be revealed/released. Something tells me BOTH of these “adults” aren’t fit to rear/raise a child…

Mom is in a drug treatment center, leaves kids with boyfriend?? Maybe she has no other family who knows, but i cant Imagine she did a very good job herself if she was drugged up enough to leave her kids with a person who was probably on drugs as well..they both should be held accountable. I’ve never heard of a drug treatment program that is only a few days. The whole story seems shady!!

Honestly, when will mothers of young children learn that their boyfriends are not capable of being good, nurturing babysitters? Every article I’ve read these last 8 months reveal that young children (3 years and younger)were beaten to the point of death and were watched by boyfriends. Isn’t that an indication of caution?

It breaks my heart every time I read of children injured by supposed ‘caregivers’! It happens too often these day. Anyone who would knowingly harm a child is not fit to participate in society and should be locked up and the key thrown away. Harming children is not normal human behavior.

I wonder if “boyfriends” are appropriate care givers for a gaggle of little kids. Mothers, if you need someone to watch you kids please consider a blood relative or one of your girlfriends.
