Two people were taken to area hospitals following a two-car accident Saturday afternoon in the 10900 block of St. Clair Cut-off Road Southeast, between Lacey and Yelm, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Medical aid units from Lacey-based Fire District 3 were dispatched to the scene of the accident just before 3 p.m. Saturday.

One patient was airlifted to a hospital and another transported by a medic unit, a sheriff’s dispatcher said.

The Washington State Patrol was investigating.
