UPDATED: Man robbed, suffers broken nose in downtown Tacoma, police report

UPDATED at 9:42 a.m.:

Tacoma police are searching for a man suspected of assaulting and robbing another man Thursday night downtown.

The victim told Tacoma police he was walking down the sidewalk in the 700 block of Market Street about 9:30 p.m. when a man approached, police reported.

The suspect hit the victim, knocking him to the ground. The suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet and two cellphones, then got into a nearby vehicle.

The victim suffered a broken nose and eye injury. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made.

The suspect was described as a white, in his 20s, 5 feet 8 to 6 feet and 170 pounds, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. He had short, brown hair and wore dark clothing.

The vehicle was described as a dark-colored, mid-sized sedan.

    There’s a “gang” of punks that hang around that part of town they range from 10 to 21 years old or so, all are white. Complete losers.
