A man was shot and killed early this morning in a Tacoma alley following an argument outside an after-hours warehouse party, police said.

Several callers flooded 911 about 4:30 a.m. to report multiple shots fired in an alley south of South 23rd Street between Fawcett and Tacoma avenues.

As officers arrived, several people were seen fleeing in vehicles. The victim was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

“We talked to a few witnesses that stayed around and tried to help the victim but there is no suspect information,” police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Police are trying to determine what started the argument that sparked the shooting.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 40-year-old Bruce Price.
