Flames destroyed a Steilacoom home early Thursday.

The owner of the home at 74 Bonney St. noticed the fire and ran to the house of a neighbor, who called 911 about 1:40 a.m., according the Steilacoom Department of Public Safety.

Public-safety officers from Steilacoom as well as firefighters from DuPont and West Pierce Fire & Rescue responded and doused the flames.

No one was hurt.
