A 20-year-old Kent man was killed today in a traffic collision near Tukwila, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers said Nathan Crawford was driving his 1998 Honda Civic south on Interstate 405 when he tried to pass another vehicle and instead hit the 2008 Ford Edge.

Crawford was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was pronounced dead. The State Patrol said he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Ford was not wounded but his two passengers sustained unknown injuries.
