UPDATED at 1:54 p.m.

Tacoma police have arrested a 26-year-old man suspected of shooting another man during an argument last month in the parking lot of a South End motel.

Officers arrested Robert K. Hoke and booked him into Pierce County Jail on Sunday night. Hoke had a warrant for his arrest after prosecutors charged him with second-degree assault.

Prosecutors allege Hoke shot a man in the neck Feb. 22 outside the motel in the 8800 block of Pacific Avenue. Hoke and another man had confronted the victim in the lot.

The victim’s injuries were not considered life threatening.

Hoke was arraigned on the charge Monday and ordered held in Pierce County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
