More bad news for Donte Lipscomb, the former Stadium High School security guard accused of having sex with students at the Tacoma school.
A third person has told police she had sex with the 31-year-old Lipscomb while she attended Stadium. Police told prosecutors, who this week filed an additional charge of sexual misconduct with a minor against Lipscomb. He now faces five counts in all.
Lipscomb, who posted $50,000 bail after pleading not guilty to the initial four counts earlier this month, is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charge Tuesday.
Police became aware of the third alleged victim after the woman’s cousin saw news accounts of the original charges against Lipscomb, according to newly filed charging documents.
“The cousin reported to other family members that (the alleged victim) previously disclosed to her that she had sexual relations with the defendant in 2010,” court records show.
Police then were notified, and detectives interviewed the alleged victim.
She told detectives she and Lipscomb carried on a sexual relationship while she attended the school in 2009 and 2010, court records show. She was 17 and 18 years old at the time.
The alleged victim said she and Lipscomb smoked marijuana together and had sex at least five times, sometimes in his car and sometimes at motels in Fife and Tacoma, the records state.
“Their relationship ended when they argued because she felt he only wanted sex from her,” court records show. “During their sexual relationship, (the alleged victim) promised not to tell because the defendant told her he would lose his job.”
Maybe I’m too liberal, but I don’t understand why charges are being brought on this man for having consensual sex with someone. I understand that these students were just that, students, but if they were not minors and above the legal age of consent, than why prosecute him?
He should definitely lose his job over it. But I think there are way more important things to spend taxpayers money on than this.
And in no way am I saying that having sexual relations with children is appropriate, so there is no need to bash me for my thoughts.

It is illegal for a school employee to have ANY sexual relationship with a person who is considered a “student.” By law, students are those people in school and under the age of 21.
the attitude of nosugercoating is the reason this guy is in very bad trouble. He probably thought there was nothing wrong with what he was doing. Well, there was a lot wrong with it. When you send your kids to school you don’t think the teachers or the security guards are going to be sexually abusing them. I feel sorry for his wife and kids. I hope they lock him up for a very long time.

A lot of people try to claim it is OK for an adult to have sex with a young person since they are using the age of consent (which is 16 in WA) in the manner, which the student may be over the age of 16.
The problem with that assumption is there are different regulations that affect school personnel, which WA RCW 9A.44.040/050/060, RCW 9A.44.093 and WAC 181-87-040 clearly defines misconduct with minors up to the age of 21 are enforceable and are sexual misconduct/rape.
Using the second definition is what prosecutors are using.
It is sad to think that likely there are other students assaulted by this guy who will not come forward. Not a stellar moment for the Tacoma School District having this person on the employee roles.
They need to lock him up and then reset his bail now to 2 Mil and let him set in there. he is going to run pretty soon.
As a school security guard he should have known better. He is a pig who took advantage of his position. As a husband and father he failed. However to say these girls were sexually abused and assaulted is a stretch. They were willing participants in this little game. I guarantee you he was not their first and not their only sexual encounter so lets not paint them out to be little victims, it is a slap in the face to real victims of real abuse cases.
Willing participants as a result of Lipscombs flirting and abuse of authority. Had they seen him in the mall, on the street, at a store, they would not have noticed him. Because he was in a position of Authority and seen on a regular basis they became curios. Lipscomb took advantage of that curiosity and his position resulting in the comming storm.
The guy crossed a pretty clear line and not has to pay for it. Young teenage girls are morons and this 30 year old man knew that and used that knowledge to advance his sexual agenda. The excuses listed in this comment string reck of childless-hippie-Northender weakness.

Now I am going to cry. As writer Leslie Marmon Silko writes, “the witchery is gone for now….it is gone for now….” In this case, this perpetrator and as we catch them more and more and more there will be fewer of us who have to recover from such a horror.
