Pierce County sheriff’s investigators found some books and a map of Utah during a search Sunday of paper at a Graham-area recycling center.

Investigators sorted through 26,000 pounds of paper after receiving a tip that Josh Powell was seen dropping off paper at the center the day before he set his Graham-area home on fire, killing himself and his two young sons.

Searchers found a testament with Powell’s name on it, some paperback books with his wife’s name on them and the Utah map, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
