The time and place of the funeral service for the two Powell boys killed Sunday in a house fire have been changed because of an overwhelming response from the community.

The service is now scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Life Center Church, 1717 S. Union Ave., the Curnow Funeral Home & Cremation Service announced this morning.

A private, family-only interment ceremony will take place now on Monday at Woodbine Cemetery.

Charlie and Braden Powell, 7 and 5, were killed Sunday during a scheduled, supervised visit with their father, Josh Powell. Investigators have said Powell intentionally set fire to his Graham-area rental home, killing his sons and himself.
