When a state can impose a psychosexual evaluation and polygraph test on a non convicted defendant it seems the Constitution has been vacated. In most states the state must have proof and a conviction that permits the placement of these conditions on a felon.

But the new world order in Washington State allows the accused to be required to forfeit their constructional protections…. to promote the new world order of guilty until you can prove your not…..

Josh was railroaded by a system that was placing the children in great danger… The judge should be disbarred and held accountable for her efforts to undermine the right to due process and abusing her power… a power that allowed her to require a fit parent to be forced to endure a corrupt banana Republic.

We can all be very proud of our new legal system that is rigged to force a parent into a no win corner.

We are all responsible for the end result by permitting a system out of control by any normal standards.. one that allows our judges to violate the Supreme Courts direction and their repeated decisions to protect the citizens of our state.

Our Supreme Court has made it very clear, that a judges power has boundaries, that limit their discretionary power and any Superior Court Judge that tries to impose restrictions absent a boa fide conviction is not within the scope of authority granted to them and is imposing an improper decision.
Yes… and it violates a right to not require one to self incriminate also a well established rule … simply put… any court orders that require one to do so are illegal an improper order is clearly at work in this event that has resulted in another screwing of our citizens.

We may wish to label Josh as a demon but when push came to sheave those who felt it time to tweak the rules of evidence to gain the upper hand have left the family with a very empty bag…. One bad turn and the spin doctors have what they knew would be the end result …. A real mess to clean up …. Next they will try to fix the mess with an effort to leverage our stupidity to surrender more of our rights as parents to help them undermine our constitutional protections……….

They are all up to no good much like Mike Nifong who was acting to convict innocent men by tweaking the facts to suite his agenda. Seldom do we see the real price for misdirected ambitions by men who are in a power hungry tirade and up to no good…. Great Job Washington voters.. that permit these fools to run our courts into the gutter of deception…

  4. @sirlancealot: I hope thousands of people show up. More than the venue can hold. This would show support for, and grief with, the Cox’s.

I now think somewhere, somehow, someone expected this would happen. The Cox’s certainly knew it could. The judges imposition was that trigger.

I’m afraid this won’t be over for a long time.

  5. ozdaddy says:

Josh was railroaded by a system that forced him to systematically plan the deaths of his two children by hacking and burning them to death? Gimme a break, amiles from Port Orchard. Now is not the time or place for your mind to spew this garbage. There is one person responsible for this tragedy, and the only positive that’s come out of this is that he’s dead, and can murder no more.

  6. surething says:

I know there is a fund for the funeral services, but is there a suggested charity to donate to? A domestic violence non profit, or something along those lines?

  7. lovethemountains says:

ahmiles, you are confused. There is a great deal of difference between criminal law and civil law. The fact that Powell was ordered to be examined by professionals in the course of determining fitness for custody is not something new nor is it unconstitutional. Such exams by psychologists and those trained in family matters have been common for years.

Was this order by the judge part of Powell’s decision to what he did? Probable. If so, I believe he was terrified of what may have been discovered and disclosed as a result of the exam. The tragedy here, of course, is the death of these two innocent children and the death of their mother before them. There are certainly things we (society and law enforcement) do not know and may never know. But one thing is clear…..Josh Powell is responsible for the death of his wife and children.

  8. shaker100 says:

I hope all of Powells rest well. I dont know what drove Josh Powell to do what he did, but there was no justification for it. Those boys were his and he was wholly responsible for their care. He violated a trust between parent and son that cannot be fully delineated or explained.

  9. skinner says:

Surething: Try the Lakewood Police Department for a place to donate.

Why was the place of the Service changed to Life Center church from
the Morman Church? Just wondering, it wasan’t a family disfunction
    decision I hope.

  10. skinner says:

cont’d…………..strike the a for all you proof readers.

  11. n0t_thatgirl says:

NW Cable News said the service was moved because Life Christian has a larger facility. To add to the circus, the Westboro Baptist “Church” is planning to picket the boys’ service. Absolutely reprehensible.

My thoughts and prayers are with the boys’ family and everyone who knew them.

  12. alindasue says:

    skinner,

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints deliberately keeps its wards (local congregations) small, splitting wards when they become too big. It makes it easier to manage the needs of the wards’ members, but it also means that we don’t generally have a need for “Mega-Church” sized meeting houses.

So… as n0t_thatgirl said, the service was probably moved because Life Christian has a larger facility.
