A 29-year-old woman’s been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit murder in the 2010 shooting death of a Tacoma man.

Leah Marie Aguilar Alvarez pleaded not guilty in Pierce County Superior Court on Thursday. She’s jailed in lieu of $1 million bail.

Saul Lucas-Alfonso, 25, died after being shot to death in an alley by men who were looking to collect a debt from another man but confronted him instead.

Prosecutors said in court documents Alvarez helped to plan the “debt collection” and bought the gun believed to have been used in the slaying. Her husband, Byron Alvarez, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case.Information recently came to light that Leah Alvarez was involved.
