Bail has been set at $75,000 for a man suspected of trying to rob a smoke shop in Federal Way over the weekend.

King County prosecutors have until Thursday to charge 30-year-old Bruce Dunham. Police said Dunham is a convicted felon.

According to police reports:

Dunham entered the Smoke Market, 28841 Military Rd. S, about 3:45 p.m. Sunday and demanded money from the owner, who was working alone.

Dunham, who was armed with a handgun, jumped on the counter. The owner then pushed Dunham off the counter and began throwing lighters and other items at the alleged robber while yelling for witnesses to call 911.

In the parking lot, the owner and several witnesses held Dunham until officers arrived.
