Tacoma house fire sends two to the hospital

Tacoma fire officials are investigating what caused a blaze at a home Saturday that sent two people to the hospital.

Crews were called to the two-story home at 4015 E. I St. at 5:19 p.m., said Tacoma Battalion Chief Dave McRoberts. The bulk of the fire was on the first floor, he said.

Two people were taken out of the house, and taken to hospitals, he said. Their names and ages weren’t available, and McRoberts didn’t know their conditions.

He said there was significant damage to the house.
