Tacoma police report this evening that a teenager’s been shot in the hand in what appears to be an accident near a montessori school.

The shooting occurred in the 6500 block of South 10th Avenue about 7 p.m., police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Some teenagers were hanging out near the school when “a drunk couple” approached them and showed them a gun, Fulghum said.

The weapon discharged at one point, striking one of the teenagers, he said.

The drunk couple ran off.
