Auburn police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they suspect robbed two banks in as many days.

The man entered a Key Bank branch, 1 E. Main St., about 11:40 a.m. today and demanded money with a note. Commander Mike Hirman said the suspect implied that he had a gun but never showed it.

He dropped the money when a dye pack exploded.

The man is also suspected of holding up a Chase Bank branch Wednesday.

He is described as white, in his mid 20s, 5 foot 8 with a medium build. He was wearing a dark Mountain Hardwear jacket, Carhart beanie, Under Armor gloves, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Auburn Police Department’s tip line at 253-288-7403.
