UPDATED at 10:15 a.m.

Puyallup police are searching for several men who donned masks and wielded machetes during a home-invasion robbery Tuesday night.

Officers were called to a house in the 300 block of Fourth Street Northeast just after 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. The caller reported several men were in the home and were threatening the occupants., police reported.

The robbers stole a firearm, then left the house as officers arrived in the area. No one was injured.

A police dog found evidence in the neighborhood but not the suspects, police reported.

Investigators suspect the home and its occupants were targeted.

The Police Department did not release any descriptions of the suspects.

  1. Why not release descriptions of the suspects? Let us know what you know about this gang of thugs. What kind of gun was stolen? Sounds like ethnic gang activity based on the use of machetes, probably agains their own ethnic population of drug dealers. Just a guess. We do have gang activity in Puyallup and they aren’t Viking gangs.

    Vor: Visigoths? Vandals?

  3. fivecardstud says:

Too bad the occupants didn’t get to the gun first. Why would they rob that house anyway? There’s more to this story than is being told.

  4. BlueStateRedNeck says:

    Great job reporting, TNT.

    /sarcasm

This was Tuesday NIGHT at 9:15…Happened about half a block from my house….K-9 went through my yard.

PPD had one guy detained per the police scanner; they were looking for 4 white male teens and one hispanic male teen.

  5. BlueStateRedNeck: You are correct. The press release had the wrong time. The story has been fixed.

  6. BlueStateRedNeck says:

Got your email- thanks again Stacey.

  7. wow “vor” how out of touch you are with todays youth, first of all this was a bunch of teens not no ethnic gang, don’t be such an narrow minded ass

  8. And besides, gangs have guns not large knifes

  9. dster420 says:

My friend lives kinda by Wildwood Park, in Puy. and her neighbor’s house was robbed yesterday morning. Cleaned them out, and was nice enough not to steal the dog!! Scary, that now we have to choose to protect our homes, or go to work. Good thing the Puyallup police are on the job…(sarcasm)

  10. SwordofPerseus says:

Expect more of this kind of activity as society crumbles, and the politicians play golf and fiddle. Anyone who votes for and incumbent deserves more of this sh*t.

  11. When the threat is just seconds away, law enforcement is just minutes away…..

  12. if they relese descriptions of suspects than they mite be tipped off they are being looked for???
