Puyallup police today arrested a 26-year-old man they said robbed a bank last week and may be responsible for holding up five other banks in Pierce County.

The man, who works at a bank, was taken into custody about 8:30 a.m. in a business parking lot in the 3700 block of South Meridian. Officers are now searching the man’s Puyallup home.

He is accused of robbing a Bank of America branch Aug. 16.

The man allegedly entered the bank at 205 West Meeker Avenue and handed a note to the teller demanding money and claiming there was a bomb in the building. The bank was evacuated after the robbery. No explosives were found.

Police did not say which bank the suspect works at or name the other banks he is suspected of robbing in the last two months.

He is expected to be make a court appearance Thursday.

Robbery??? Oh, no Your Honor, it was uh – just an impromptu peer-review of security for the purpose of comparing and contrasting our own in-house systems and responses in order to facilitate modifcation of same to promote an efficacious response to similar situations.

    Yup. That’s what it was.

WOW! 26 yrs old and the thought process was that he could get away with this……hummmmm. Well, thats the end of that, huh? Take head youngsters, think things ALL the way through. Now he will have many years to think about it.

tonnibell – I think you meant “take heed” . Obviously, his head, or at least his brain, is already missing.
