Local law enforcement officers have arrested three men suspected in a series of takeover-style robberies at six convenience stores in King County.

The three were arrested without incident Tuesday, the King County Sheriff’s Office reported today. The three live in Auburn and are 16, 23 and 24.

The robberies started July 25. Two convenience stores in Federal Way, two in Maple Valley and one each in Covington and Bothell were hit in the days since, deputies reported. During the robberies, the men wielded guns and wore masks.

Tips from the public – as well as a cash reward – helped to identify the suspects.

Investigators served a search warrant on the Auburn apartment of one of the suspects and recovered evidence, deputies reported.
