Tacoma police are searching for a man suspected of breaking into an apartment near Wright Park early today, brandishing a knife and stealing from an elderly man.

The robber is described as black, in his 30s and 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall with a medium build and short hair. He was possibly wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and jeans, police reported.

Police believe the robber climbed over a ground-level balcony railing and slipped through the slightly ajar sliding glass door of an apartment in the 400 block of South G Street just after 3 a.m.

The suspect had a 2-inch pocket knife. He confronted an elderly man inside the apartment and stole two rings and cash from him, police reported.

The robber left the apartment. The elderly man was not seriously injured, police reported.

Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

People who commit crimes against the elderly and the most vulnerable among us deserve full force of the law. I hope this man gets justice.

Unfortunately, in Pierce County if an elderly person has over $400K stolen and over $700K of money structured and layered by a Power of Attorney who works for DSHS and siblings who profited from the abuse including a prominent Pierce County politician, your case is not investigated by the PC Prosecutor. Instead you see “political photo opts” photos by McKenna and Lindquist during their election year while they stand in front of fancy billboards claiming they protect the elderly when in fact it is a nice photo opt during election season to try to gain a few senior votes.

Our family is still waiting to hear from Lindquist since 2010 regarding theft of over $400K of mother’s money and crimes of isolation, abuse she endured for over 493 days.

I do hope the elderly man who was robbed at his home at Wright Park gets justice. Mother is still waiting for over 3 years due to lack of backbone to investigate a prominent Pierce County politician.
