Volunteers will be accepting toys and cash during a “Christmas in July” toy drive Friday afternoon at The Swiss in Tacoma.

The event is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. at the tavern, 1904 Jefferson Ave.

Volunteers from Toys for Tots, Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers and the Marine Corps League will be accepting new toys and cash to help with the clean up and repackaging of the toys damaged during a fire earlier this month at the Toys for Tots warehouse.

Santa and his elves will even be making an appearance.
