One hurt in crash early today on SR 167

A 43-year-old Pacific man was injured early today after his vehicle struck the back of a transportation vehicle that was blocking a lane of state Route 167.

The man was taken to Auburn General Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred just before 3:15 a.m., the Washington State Patrol reported.

A state Department of Transportation vehicle was blocking the left lane of SR 167 in Algona for maintenance. The lights on the vehicle were activitated.

The Pacific man hit the back of the truck.

Troopers were investigating.
