Auburn police have arrested a 16-year-old boy suspected of fatally shooting another teen Sunday evening during a birthday celebration in the courtyard of an apartment complex.

The suspected gunman was arrested late Monday at a relative’s house, Auburn police reported. The Seattle Times reports here that he was wearing a wig, women’s shoes and a dress at the time.

He’s been booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of murder.

The gunman and the victim got into an argument about 5 p.m. Sunday. During the argument, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot at the victim several times. The victim was hit once and died of his injuries.
