Lakewood police were investigating a shooting early today at the Western Inn on South Tacoma Way.

One bullet grazed the shoulder of a man sleeping in the cab of his semi-truck, Lakewood police Lt. Chris Lawler said. No other injuries were reported.

The shooting occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. Witnesses reported there was a large fight at the motel, 9920 South Tacoma Way, Lawler said. Someone fired off several rounds in the parking lot.

Officers on patrol in the area of 100th Street Southwest and South Tacoma Way heard the shots, Lawler said.

Two of the rooms had several bullet holes. No one inside was injured, however.

No arrests have been reported.

UPDATE: The shooting appears to be over a prostitution-related deal but Lawler said the participants didn’t stick around to talk to officers.
