A car rear-ended a school bus this morning in the Parkland area.

The crash scene at 112th Street East and 26th Avenue East is causing some traffic issues, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

The car’s driver suffered a bloody nose and a student on the bus has complained of a sore ankle but Troyer said no one is being transported from the scene.

The crash was reported just after 8:20 a.m.

UPDATE: KIRO reported the bus was carrying 28 students from Midland Elementary School. They were taken to school on another bus.

You would think an article about a crash involving a school bus, would mention whether or not children were aboard when the accident occurred.

Texting and driving? Isn’t the driver lucky, that this occurred right in front of the Washington State Patrol’s Parkland Office? *LOL*

I don’t know where you’re reading texting and driving… I was the witness on this scene, and the lady didn’t own a cell phone. We used mine to try and call her husband.

I’m kind of surprised this got an article… It was really not a big accident.
