Auburn police said two men were critically injured tonight after two large brawls escalated into a shooting.

Officers were called just after 5 p.m. to the 3400 block of C Court Southeast and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One man had been shot in the head, the other in the chest, Commander Mike Hirman said.

The victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Police arrested the shooter. All three men are in their earlys 20s, Hirman said.

A motive has not yet been established but it was prompted by “two fights that were somehow connected within a block or two,” Hirman said.
