A 14-month-old boy who died Wednesday after a driver accidentally backed over him has been identified as Fhamarke Ali.

Kent police say the boy escaped his home in the 11700 block of Southeast 233^rd Place without his caretakers noticing and made his way into a neighbor’s driveway.

An 18-year-old woman backing out of that driveway told police she did not see Fhamarke as she was leaving the home about 7 p.m.

Police Lt. Pat Lower said the toddler’s death was “a true accident.”
