An electrical fire caused $35,000 in damage to a Mexican restaurant in Federal Way this morning.

Crews from South King Fire & Rescue were called to Barriga Llena Mexican Restaurant, 30420 Pacific Highway S., about 8:15 a.m. The firefighters spotted light smoke coming from the roof, the fire department reported. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

No one was inside at the time and no injuries were reported.

The fire department said the blaze was not related to three suspected arson fires along Pacific Highway South in recent weeks.
