The Pierce County Medical Examiner has been called to a wooded area near Harts Lake this morning to help identify whether bones found there Thursday night are human.

“They look to be human,” Pierce County Sheriff spokesman Detective Ed Troyer said of the bones this morning. “When we got  out there last night,  it was too dark. We secured the area.”

Troyer said they are treating the site as a crime scene until they know differently.

The site is past a gate off a hiking trail about a mile from the 4100 block of Harts Lake Road South in the r McKenna area of South Pierce County, he said. It is also close to Thurston County.

He said hikers spotted the bones and alerted authorities.

Them Tweekers out in that area have done some pretty creepy things out there for years and years!!!

  6. Zina Linniks body was found off of a dirt road by Silver Lake. By the way, creeps and tweekers are everywhere. They can look and act as normal as you and I. It’s wrong to pass judgement on people of a certain area of residence. Criminals seek out, then drive to these places to ‘do’ or to ‘end’ their crime.
