Due to the earthquake/ tsunami  in Japan, Click! Cable TV has obtained  permission from TV Japan to make the channel available to all Click! Cable customers, regardless of their level of service. a Click! official said this morning.

The channel is available to Click! Cable TV customers with a cable receiver on channel 393.  For those Click! customers with a digital TV, and without a cable receiver connected to it, a rescan of their TV channels will make it available on 106-393.

This channel is normally a premium service.

“We anticipate it will be available for approximately one week,” said Mitch Robinson, Marketing & Business Operations manager .  “The channel is featuring ongoing live coverage from Japan.

Update: We’ve seen from many sources, including Mr. Neary below, that Comcast is offering TV Japan on channel 245 locally.
