A Parkland man and his passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Monday night after their motorcycle collided with a car on Interstate 5 in Seattle, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The impact threw the man and woman from the motorcycle which then crashed and caught fire.

The man and woman who were in the car were not injured.

The state patrol identified the couple on the motorcycle as Shane G. Doubek, 20, and Nikki L. Hooper, 19, from Va.

Their medical condition was not available.

State patrol investigators said  Dowlad Farah, 31, of Tukwila, and his passenger, Angela M. Menges, 39, from Maine, were driving north in the center lane on I-5 going to Interstate 90 at about 9 p.m..

When Farah changed lanes, his 2008 Toyota Prius hit the motorcycle, the state patrol reported. The motorcycle, a 2006 Suzuki GSX100, ended up on the freeway and caught fire.

Both people on the motorcycle were wearing helmets, investigators reported.

The crash is under investigation.

The man that hit them was driving a Yellow Taxi, and made a 3 lane change. And the guy just kept driving until the State Patrol stopped him.

Does anyone know how the two victims are doing?
