Police said a 4-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert today was found safe in Bonney Lake and returned to his mother.

His father was arrested after officers found the man’s vehicle behind a strip mall near Fred Meyer in the 21100 block of state Route 410.

The mother told police that the boy’s father showed up at a Chehalis crisis center and forcibly took their son.

Chehalis police tracked the man’s whereabouts via cell phone and alerted Bonney Lake officers to his location.

The abbreviated story does not tell the whole story. It doesn’t tell about what, and with who, the wife was doing while her husband was overseas being shot at. It doesn’t tell how she refers to the kid as her son, not their son. It doesn’t talk about if he mentioned fighting for custody, so she filed a report to get him banned from seeing the kid.

  2. I totally agree with your speculation !

  3. I am pretty sure that adultery is a crime for inlisted personel, it should be a crime for spouses of deployed service members that have no choice about going overseas. In my mind cheating on a active duty, deployed spouse is about as close to treason as you can get. It undermines the soldiers moral as well as occupying his mind with useless torment in a very dangerous situation.

its amazing how much insight you have into this story Wrapper, are you the wife? if so then please tell your story, if not (which i susect is the case) why not keep shut and stick to the story that is posted. The women and child were at a crisis center so something was wrong in the first place and what this father did was wrong. I can agree that there is more to the story not being told but then again it really is non of our bussiness. What is our bussiness is that this boy was found safe, though im sure it will cause him a lot of mental hardships and i hope the best for him, the father and the mother since they all seem to need some help.
