The public is invited to a memorial service Saturday for Kent police Officer Rob McCuistion, who died Thursday when his car went off the road.

The 13-year veteran was driving home in Auburn when his car went down a steep embankment and struck a tree.

Police believe the accident was caused by weather conditions.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. SE, Kent.

A private ceremony will follow for family and friends at the Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood.
