Amtrak Cascades is not operating today between Seattle and Portland because of the train derailment near Chambers Bay Golf Course, a spokesman said.

They are, however, operating Seattle north to Portland south.

Train 11, which normally originates in Seattle, is originating in Portland today.

It’s unclear how many passengers are being impacted.

Amtrak will assess the situation later this afternoon to determine whether any routes will be disrupted Monday, said spokesman Steve Kulm.
