Last Friday, with the help of a smart nanny and her employer, Puyallup police arrested two men burglarizing a home.

Police today sent out a news release about the incident:

On Friday, February 4th, 2011 at 1:55 p.m. two men were arrested in the act of burglarizing an occupied home in the Highlands development of Puyallup, off of Shaw Rd.

The incident occurred at 12:55 p.m.  The family’s nanny was home
with a 3 year-old child.  The nanny saw a vehicle arrive and then heard someone  inside the house.  She locked herself and the child in an upstairs bathroom and  called the homeowner at work.  The homeowner in turn called 911.

Two Puyallup officers arrived and met the homeowner, who had just arrived also.  The officers observed the garage door open and a van accelerate out of the garage  at a high speed.  Officers had to move out of the path of the van that was  recklessly backing out.  Officers were able to detain the two suspects in the van at gun point.  The burglars were taken into custody at that time.

The van was filled with stolen items from the house, to include large flat screen TV’s, computers, etc.  The van itself was determined to be stolen from Seattle.

Officers located a  handgun and two-way radios in the van.  The nanny and the child remained in the  locked bathroom during the burglary and were not harmed.

Detectives completed a search warrant at the main suspect’s home and recovered  evidence of other burglaries.  Detectives believe the suspects and the same van  have been involved in multiple daytime residential burglaries in Puyallup and  throughout Pierce and King Counties.

The suspects are a 28 year-old Kent man and a 26 year-old SeaTac man.  They
were booked into the Pierce County Jail on multiple charges.

My friend’s house was or actually their garage was robbed on a Sunday morning, right in plain view of a main street, with the entire family home. A chase finally led to an arrest, but they Still don’t know All of the stuff this jerk took. As he was running he told my friend- Leave me alone!! I put your sh$# back, can’t you just let it go? Nope, and there won’t be hardly any punishment!! But don’t get caught with marijuana as you most likely go to Prison!!!!!!
