No relief in price at gas pumps

Average retail gasoline prices in Tacoma have risen 2.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.24 per gallon Sunday, according to TacomGasPrice.com.

That compares with the national average that has increased 2.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.11/g, according to gasoline price website TacomaGasPrices.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Tacoma during the past week, prices yesterday were 45.6 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 8.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 5.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 45.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
