Tacoma police are searching for a man who nearly ran over an officer as he fled from an apartment complex this morning.

Officers located the man in the area of South 15th Street and South Sprague Avenue and tried to talk to him because there was a warrant for his arrest.

The man sped away in a vehicle, nearly hitting an officer as he left, said police spokesman Mark Fulghum.

Nobody was injured. Police are trying to track down the man.

Fulghum said he was unsure what the warrant was for. A description of the man was not immediately released.

Lucky for the man it was the TPD, if it had been the SPD or Pierce County Sheriffs they would have riddled the car with bullets

UnbiasedReporter……..(sorry but your title doesn’t fit) The officer should have shot the guy trying to run him over….I would have.
