The West Valley Highway in Sumner is now back open to traffic.

The owner of the adjacent property completed the work necessary to stabilize the hillside after a landslide closed the road Jan. 13, according to City of Sumner spokeswoman Carmen Palmer

Palmer said a geotechnical engineer has certified that the road is safe for traffic.
