Police searching for three men who mysteriously disappeared

Lakewood police are investigating the whereabouts of three men who were last seen Sunday.

Their disappearance is suspicious and it is unusual for them to be out of contact with their families, said Lt. Chris Lawler. Police are asking the public’s help in locating them.

Missing are Jesus Bejar Avila, 25, of Lakewood; Yazmany Quezada Ortiz, 25, of Tacoma; and Christian Alberto Rangel, 19, of University Place.

All three men work at the Lake Union Wholesale Florist in Seattle and carpooled to work Sunday. They left work together about 3:15 p.m. Sunday in Ortiz’ silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.

Police on Wednesday found the truck abandoned at an apartment complex in the 6200 block of James Street in Kent.

The men were seen briefly at the complex, Lawler said.

Anyone with information I asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 253-830-5000.
