The Longmire-Paradise road is expected to be closed all day at Mount Rainier National Park as crews deal with fallen trees blocking the road.

Park spokeswoman Donna Rahier said crews were working this morning, hoping to open the road from the Nisqually entrance to Longmire.

Once that work is complete, they will do their best to clear the road to Paradise. For updated road conditions, check with the park at 360-569-2211 or here.
