Tacoma police were searching for a man who robbed an East Side convenience store at gunpoint this morning.

The man went into the 7-Eleven at 3848 McKinely Ave. about 11:15 a.m. He wore a black ski mask and had a handgun, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store. A police dog searched the area but didn’t find him.

The man was described as black, about 25 years old and 5 feet 10 with a thin build, Fulghum said.

Oh, the police dog found nothing. Again. What a surprise. Tacoma’s police dogs couldn’t find a sock in a laundry sack.
