Tacoma police arrested a man Monday night after he allegedly robbed a South End drugstore.

The suspect went into the Rite Aid, 7041 Pacific Ave., implied he had a gun and demanded prescription drugs, police reported. The man put several items into a plastic bag and left the store.

Officers tracked down the suspect at a home in the 1600 block of East Fairbanks Street. He was taken into custody, police reported.

Officers booked the man into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

Officers were searching for a second person who had fled the East Fairbanks home.
