Police tonight arrested a Tacoma man at Whitman Elementary School after he waved signs and threatened people attending an education forum headlined by U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, police said.

The dissident was standing outside the campus at 1120 S. 39th St. His arrest, which he resisted, took place seven minutes after the forum on educational issues kicked off.

The event was hosted by the Whitman Elementary School PTSA.

This nutcase should be in jail if he makes threats against others.I would have stopped by if i knew that this was going to happen .I would have put him in his place.

Not just ANY dissident, Robert Hill!!

We had a plane go down in Montana 4/9/84.

Norm Dicks stood up to the plate in an effort to cause a search for this plane on behalf of the family and friends. Because of this I’ve had many conversations with him.

Norm Dicks is way beyond reproach and does not deserve any ill treatment or disrespect.

I believe he’s over qualified to become our president but I would proudly help him if he should ever decide to run for emperor of the world.

Lock up the scum bag that caused the scene.

People of Tacoma treat Robert Hill as a novelty when the reality is that he is a destructive force becoming more aggressive and confrontational. People need to say “enough,” put restrictive boundaries on the man and stop giving him the attention that drives him.

After Mr. Hill removed the six illegally & unethically-placed DICKS campaign signs from the outside property of the school, Ms. Brunkow-Mather, the Tacoma director of Dicks’ Tacoma congressional, called 911 and falsely stated that Hill was dangerously waving these signs around in the air. The truth is that Hill was STANDING on a sign, as a form of political protest. This can be verified by at least one campaign staff of the Doug Cloud campaign, who arrived late. The subsequent tasering of Mr. Hill was uncalled for; *all* criminal charges of Destroying/Defacing a Campaign Sign and Obstructing and Resisting Arrest, were dismissed.

Your assessment of Rep. Dicks is wrong…on all counts.
